Role of data centers in bridging the digital divide

I want to explain why  – and far more importantly, how we’ve made so-called digital divide interminably worse and more expensive in the name of comfort, 24/7 surveillance, malicious mobile apps, telecom monopolies and security. Even in the highly-wired world, you can still find older operating systems / browsers: public libraries, is just an example. Balkanization, nationalization and surveillance of the web is literally making its best parts less accessible to many, many common people around the world.
