Also known as Aloo Tikka, Aloo Patties, Alu Pattice, Aloo Pattices, spicy potato cakes, potato cutlet and potato patties. You can also add ingredients like green peas, mixed vegetables, cheese or grated paneer, diced onion, ginger, garlic and sprinkle of Garam Masala or curry powder to the patties.

Ingredients
– 6 Medium Potatoes Boiled and skin peeled
– 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
– 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
– 2 tablespoon Coriander leaves
– 2 tablespoon Corn flour or besan
– Salt to Taste
– 6 tablespoon Oil

Combine besan, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin seeds. Gradually add water, mixing as you go, until you have a thin, lump-free batter. It should be smooth and pourable. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over low heat. Pour in the batter and cook, stirring constantly, until it forms a thick, dough-like consistency. Once cooled, mix in the potatoes, Coriander leaves, and finely chopped green chilies.

Grease a tray, spread potato mixture evenly on it. Pop it in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes to firm up. This makes cutting the tikkis much easier. Take the tray out of the freezer and cut the mixture into squares or patties. Heat rest of oil in tray, place potato squares and fry until they turn golden brown on both sides
