  1. Excel is one of the most popular and powerful tool used to record and analyse numerical data. Excel is used for managing operations, performance reporting, office administration, strategic analysis, account and project management. One of the more powerful, but seldom used functions of Excel is the ability to very easily create automated tasks and custom logic within macros.

  8. Then again the role of economical interests should not be underestimated in commercial engines. When the first results, in some cases even pages, are reserved or in some way related to contractual partners of the engines company, the long term cultural, economical, even political influences on the user can not be denied. And as with every monopoly it relies on peoples reluctance to change to an alternative that might be slightly more inconvenient in the beginning but would most certainly improve over time. The internet, however, has given birth to a market, where such a monopoly is almost impossible to attack if it occupies a common ground everybody uses, more importantly that relies in its very idea on the fact that everybody uses it. Social media platforms are a good example for this. Another one are the search engines we use as they are something truly everyone relies on. Having an independent alternative in this vulnerable area should be something to be considered. And not to have the collective data of the worlds population stored by a few companies would surely not hurt either.
